Testwood FC vs RCCG DC United (Div 2)

TBC: 2, RCCG DC United (Div 2): 4

Testwood slump to their second league defeat of the season.

A blustery September morning in Portsmouth saw Testwood travel to play RCCG. The game began with both teams pressing high and creating chances. Testwood took an early lead on to see this ruled out by an ‘interesting’ offside judgement by the linesman. Moments later, Testwood found themselves 1-0 down after a penalty was dispatched by the hosts. As half time loomed, the visitors pulled a well deserved goal back to level the tie. The visitors should also have seen a penalty awarded in their favour, on the brink of half time…luck wasn’t on their side today!

The second half saw two quick goals from both sides to make the score level at 2-2. Testwood then managed to score a third only for this to be ruled out by an alleged handball in the build up. With both teams looking promising on the counter attack, it was the hosts who managed to take their chances, and ran away as 4-2 winners.

A very competitive and well played game by both sides.
