TBC: 2, Testwood End of Season Game/Pub: 1

4 disallowed goals, one penalty miss, 8 referees and a good morning of football.

Testwood rec homed the end of season match between past and present players of Testwood on a glorious summer morning. Blues against oranges was the set up with individual players taking it in turns to show of their refereeing skills. The game started frantically with the blues hitting the bar twice but the oranges creating the better chances. The game slowed down due to the hit weather with both teams having goals disallowed for offside…we think!

The second half saw the temperature heat up and the lads looking noticeably more tired. After some end to end attacking the blue took the lead with a cool one yard tap in. Ten minutes later the blues extended their lead with a lovely cross field ball which was neatly finished. Then came the goal of the match; a 30 yard lob over the oranges helpless keeper, a wonderful effort. Sadly for the oranges they could not get a deserved draw.

A great game and a great opportunity to get all the lads together. Massive thanks to Nigel and Brace for organising the season, well done chaps!
