Testwood claw their way back into a tough game…

Hamble was the venue, TKS were the opponents on Saturday morning for Testwood, on the back of a late goal cup defeat against Hope. Testwood started poorly, letting go of possession cheaply and allowing TKS too much time in the ball. TKS took an early deserved lead after a break down the right and a neat finish. Testwood continued to look sluggish and found themselves 2-0 down. Just when Testwood thought it couldn’t get any worse, they found themselves 3-0 down after 20 minutes. After conceding 3 goals, Testwood went back to basics, defended well and worked hard on the break. Some wing play down the right, saw a cross volleyed in past the opposing keeper. 3-1 at half time.

The second half was quite the opposite for Testwood, a wonderful solo goal was hammered home from distance in the first minute of the half, 3-2. Testwood continued to press and were finally stringing passes together. From a corner, Testwood smashed a header home, 3-3. In the final 15 munutes, Testwood had a goal controversially disallowed, hit the bar once and the post twice. The second half was far more pleasing than the first for the away side! The game ended 3-3.

TTKS hosted a great game, which was played fairly and competitively.
