Testwood storm to yet to another 3-1 victory!

On a ridiculously cold Saturday morning, where sleet flirted with the local area, Testwood hosted young side, CCFC. Sitting one place above their opponents, this was another must win game.

With the wind in their favour, Testwood hit CCFC on the counter attack early. A long ball forward, squared across the box and a neat finish saw Testwood go 1-0 up. Testwood piled on the pressure and eventually went 2-0 up with a wind-assisted corner, that flew straight in. On the brink of half time, CCFC broke quickly and pulled one goal back.

The second half was always going to be a struggle for the home side against the wind but they continued to defend brilliantly. CCFC didn’t really use the wind to their advantage and Testwood started to mount some pressure. A whipped corner saw a fine header hit the back of the net for Testwood, putting the home side 3-1 up. Testwood continued to look comfortable and could’ve extended their lead in the final moments of the game.

A great game of football from both sides, with some very honest and fair linesman officiating from the away side.
