Hope leave it late to stun Testwood…

On a glorious Saturday morning in Totton, Testwood hosted a strong Hope side looking to finish the season in good fashion. The game started with the hosts looking the most comfortable, playing a 3-5-2. The home side passed the ball round well and created many chances from the wings and through the middle. Hope struggled to get a foot in the game and seemed content striking and trying their luck from range. Testwood earned a free kick down the right 20 minutes in, which was floated in and headed home…1-0. Testwood continued to manage the half well and Hope seemed to struggle with the 3-5-2 they were facing. The second half was quite the opposite…

Hope shifted their shape and brought on a super sub, with immediate effect. They matched the formation of the home side and the game became even. Hope strung many passes together and started to penetrate the opposition box. It wasn’t until the last 15 minutes when, Hope managed to claw one back, 1-1. With minutes left Testwood were hanging on to a draw only to see the away side strike and claim all 3 points.

A friendly but competitive game, well played all.
