10 men Testwood rally to win!

A rather cold November morning saw Testwood host TKS, in what is always a close fixture. TKS had 11 men and Testwood managed to get 13, with a few carrying injuries. The game started well for Testwood, seeing much of the ball and looking dangerous from set pieces. TKS grew into the game and started to enjoy more time on the ball in the attacking third. After 20 minutes, Testwood caught TKS on the break and after a cross field pass, along the floor, ended with a very brave and cool finish! With 5 minutes left of the half, TKS put in a cross which was nearly ‘headed’ by a Testwood defender, but sadly the ref thought he saw more use of the hand! Red card and a penalty, which was dispatched came next.

Testwood, with 10 men started the second half well. Buidling from the back and continuing to catch TKS on the break. Some neat play in midfield, and a low cross into the box was then neatly finished by Testwood. 2-1 up! TKS continued to press but with nothing conclusive. With 10 minutes left, Testwood broke again and after a very powerful and skilful run forwards, Testwood extending their lead with a little tap in, which was confidently rolled in.

Testwood ended 3-1 winners.
